i dont think i have ever seen one in the game and im nearing close the end off spring and its the last thingy i need

I've found them all over the place. On the way to the carpenter by going north of the farm, to the west of the quarry (south of the adventurers guild), etc. Are you sure you are looking for thre right thing?

The route from your farm to the scientists' place also has a good chance of spawning them.

Mayor waited until after I'd sold all the horseradish I could find to unlock the Community Center and reveal that foraging bundle. Had no more spawn before end of Spring. If salt was in one of the bundles, I'd have had plenty to spare. Only item I needed for the whole tree after like the 2nd day of Winter.

I think i've searched the entire town twice now, nothing. This is really annoying as i can find everything else spawning around.

For future reference, as a rule of thumb, always keep a spare of every item you come across or grow.
Chances are, you'll need it at some point.

I often build a couple of chests, just to hold a few of every crops and forage that I grow/find, just on the off-chance I'll need them at some point.

if you get unlucky and rngesus doesnt grace you, remember to check the traveling merchant on fridays and sundays for it or spring seeds. you can plant the spring seeds in the greenhouse if you get that.
