Slingshot controls are... not good
I don't really get it... the slingshot doesn't work properly it seems. I would prefer an aiming system that actually follows the mouse on the screen. Right now moving your mouse to the left makes your character aim to the right?

I might be doing something wrong on my part tho :P I am the person who clicked furiously when fishing when you can just hold down the mouse button...

Pull in the opposite way of the Slingshot to reload. I do agree ranged combat system is horrible.

If it's anything like the slingshot game in the fair... I agree, that was awkward.

It does kind of make sense if you think about it - when you fire a slingshot, you have to pull back the string/whatever, in the opposite direction from what you want to hit. That seems to be what this control scheme is going for... pull back-right to shoot forward-left, for instance.

But yeah, I agree, it took a while to figure that out in the slingshot game, and although I have a slingshot, I haven't bothered learning to use it in the mines (especially since I don't have any ammo for it - I saw some for sale at the guild, but don't even know if that's unlimited ammo, just one shot, or what.)

You can load the slingshot with stone like you would do with a fishing pole for bait.

Wastes stone.

What stormfeather said. I think the controls are to mimic a real slingshot. Once you look at it that way, it gets easier to use.

It also seems if you hold it too long or you "pull back" then move forward in the opposite direction a little bit, it won't shoot when you release the mouse button. I can't tell which one or both of those are causing it so you kind of have to shoot and aim fast to be most effective.

I'd much rather aim with the mouse, than opposite the mouse. Right now my slingshots are just sitting in my chest because I don't want to spend the time to get better with them.

Ya its not good. I get the whole aiming behind you bit, but i never feel like my shots are going wehre i want them too. Too much work for too little damage, not using it again.
