Do you tend to get different things/different people or is it a set thing each year?

I really don't like Marnie... and she happened to give me 12 eggs.
1. I don't like eggs irl so this is the most off-putting gift
2. I spent days making pickles for Harvey. Could she have given me something nicer like a bundle of wheat/any offseason thing or something other than what she pulled out of her chicken's butt the day before?
3. I have so many eggs from my chickens I literally don't know what to do with them ._.

At least Abigail eats them :D She says to almost all liked/loved gifts: "This is great, how did you know I was hungry" Regarldess if its a mineral or a flower....

I got Emily as a secret santa, gave her an aquamarine. Then I got Elliot as my gift-giver and he gave me a poppyseed muffin... w-which I guess is sweet. Or salty, depending on how much sea air gets into his cabin if he baked it himself.

During my first Festival of the Winter Star Haley was my secret Santa and gave me a Glow Ring. We didn't have a very high heart level so I have no idea what that was about. I guess random luck of the draw? After that I assumed that all of the villagers would give you really nice items each year but as you've all discovered that is definitely not the case. I think since then I've also received wood from Robin and clay from one of the kids. In theory it would seem that the longer you live in their world and participate in their community the better the gifts? I want another ring! Haha...

Gave Sebastian sashimi. Had 70 of them in my inventory. It gave him the entire stack.

As a wife of leah, I just give her an entire ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ bottle of wine every day. I think she's an alcoholic. At one point I gave her a beer at like 11pm after buying a round for the entire saloon and having 1 left over. She stayed in bed all day, talking to her got "...", I think I gave her a hangover.
