Torch bug?

I could have sworn that carrying a torch actually casts light around the player, however, lately my torches only cast light after I place them on the ground. Could this be a bug?

This thing happens to me from time to time (I usually see it after I go out of the mines).

To "correct" this, I have to put my torch in the ground (I usually only have one), then get it back. It then casts light around as if nothing happened :o

Hmm, OK, thanks for the input. For me it didn't help to put one down and pick it up earlier. On the other hand I usually have 5-10 torches, so I'll try to put them all down (and report back later). Thanks for the tip!

same problem here. Solution is really to put ALL the torches down, then pick them back up.
