Explosion and Earthquake

So I heard an explosion one night, and later an earthquake. I've searched the entire map but I still can't find anything.
Any help on where to look or what it was?

I think you mean a Gold Pickaxe, not copper

Yes sorry copper on the brain at the time. Clint wanted 30 of it. Im overflowing in iron and he wants copper haha.

It'll stay until you break it

I had mine crash in spring, I've still not harvested it and its nearly Yr 2. So no it wont despawn :D

I had the earthquake as well! It scared me, and lewis lost his lucky purple shorts.
