Where is 'the forest?'

On the wiki and such, it states on a multitude of fish and what not that you can catch it in 'the forest.' Where is this location? I know the pond is by the wizard tower, but is the forest the 'secret' forest or something that I am not seeing?

The Forest is the place directly North of the Wizard. You need a Steel Axe to break the Log to get into it.

Depends on the fish. Some of them are in the river running near the wizard tower. Others are in the hidden section that Crisis88 mentioned. The pond doesn't have any special fish, just generic river fish.
