Is there an endgame?

Is this game just another pixelated farming simulator or does it have an actual story?

The game has a story, that being said. You don't ever really have an end to the game, the endgame is farming and building up your farm to look better.

how about these events and little cutscenes which appear now and then? will they be gone for good or does the egghunt, etc repeat at least?
i would feel like in a hurry planing for the next few days if every storyevent is triggered after day x like getting your dog/cat in the second week or will the story only progress if a certain objective is completed?

The events are based on...holidays(egg hunt repeats every spring)..heart levels...or fixed points on the calender(like a new area opening up.) Also, finishing bundles for the community center..and gifting artifacts to the library/museum.
