Selling Tools and Bamboo Fishing Poles
Please tell me I am dumb but for the life of me I can't figure out how to sell my old bamboo rod which is just wasting space in my chest at the moment. The same goes for the starting tools. Once you get copper, steel, gold tools there isnt a point in keeping them anymore so they just waste space in the chest.

So I would like to know if I am ♥♥♥♥ out of luck on this basic feature or is there a place where I can actually sell them back? God help you if you have accidently bought something from a store or Willys. There should at least be an "Are you sure you want to buy this?" feature so that doesnt happen. I have tried every place I can think of for both the tools and the fishing rods but they are all grayed out.

Tools and poles seem to be able to tossed (some of them). Tools get upgraded anyway, as far as I've played...I dont' have any repeated versions of them.

Make a chest and place it in the middle of a field. Start a bomb next to it. Usually works.

I still own the axe, the copper axe, and the steel axe ... they dont vanish. or maybe my game is bugged I still have the hoe and the pike and the water thingy in tripple examplar too

the only thing you can do is open youre inventory and drag them in the trash can

in fact its like a exploit, if you go upgrade a tool, and in the first/same day you die on go full exausted you gonna get it back when you woke up(its giong to be on the ground aside of youre bed) and in the next day youll have the upgraded version too.

Your game must be bugged, everytime I upgrade my tools I do not keep a version of the previous level. If I upgrade my copper tool it becomes a steal tool and I do not have the copper version any longer. I say just toss the extra stuff, or keep them for when you upgrade your "main" tool that way you won't be blocked from doing whatever activites are related to it.

Thanks for the replies everyone. So now I know at least the tools are supposed to be turned into their next gen versions.

That leaves the fishing pole. Any info on that? Because once again I still have the old bamboo pole and the accidental copies I bought of it for a waste of money. I don't want to blow them up haha I want to be able to sell them back for a loss of course and get some of my money back.

On that note there stilll should be a small overhaull as far as buying from place though. An "are you sure" would be a small and very useful addition to buying.

Stop cheating, cheating can bug your game out! I am assuming you cheated while upgrading tools since this is the only real reason it would have bugged.

I didnt cheat. That would take away the fun of it. I want the game to take away the defualt tools from me. A cheater wouldn't want that. And also tell me if this is a cheat Crisis my game won't recognize my 360 controller. I call Hax!

Not true. One of the early patches gave you your tools back at night if you lost them somehow, but the patch didn't account for leaving them with the blacksmith. A lot of people (me included) got duplicated tools as a result. AFAIK that's been fixed, but we still cannot get rid of the extra tools.

I tried that. Didn't work for me, unfortunately.

Trying to get rid of the slingshots I got from the mines, have 4 of them and it's getting really annoying <.<

Yes it is, I really hope the functionality of being able to sell that stuff comes along soon.

Put them in a chest and move on. They are just items. Stop being annoyed by little things.

Just gift them to the camper or someone then they go away
