Fiber?

Where else can I get fiber, then off my farm?

You can get it in the caves, and by cutting bushes around town.

I'm afraid of asking why the hell does he need more fiber than you get from cleaning your farm every season, I have so much of the stuff stacked on my chest and so few recipes that use them.

I agree, I've always had this big stack of Fiber that I barely use ever since I finished cleaning the farm during the first year.

Scarecrows, warp totems to farm and beach, etc. It takes 20 fiber to make one warp to the farm, which I use quite often as a fast travel back from the skull cavern's lower levels, and even as an emergency "I'm about to die and I'm out of food" exit. Fiber does not grow much between seasons- I only get about 20 per season! So don't say "Oh i have so much of it it has no use" because it has a big use.

Why are people short on fiber? ..

Simple answer - Because there isn't enough of it.

Long answer - As your farm fills up, buildings, fields, etc. there is less and less of it growing when the seasons change. Unfortunately it is a major ingredient, usually 20+ pieces, in some very important crafting pieces in late game. So, yes, you will typically be forced to do mine runs just looking for the stuff, all the while cursing that you sold it in the beginning.

I'm guessing you haven't used a bunch of it. It becomes scarce once you have a big farm and less to clear. Totems being consumables you will run out eventually. Also, use totems, makes maxing your day out easier.

There's still a ton of it in the mines, year round, just go down to level 15 and start pretending you're a faerie boy in a skirt and a silly green hat and swing your sword around. You'll get some bug meat for bait and other useful materials like stone, copper, and coal too. If you're at the point where you're going to the lower levels of the skull mines like the person above then you ought to have a good enough sword to deal with anything in the normal mines.

I don't really use Fiber all that much, but perhaps ConcernedApe can make it so you can buy Fiber from Robin?

what are fibers for ? Seriously, they are needed to make scarecrows, campfire, and especially WARP TOTEMS. They need around 20 fibers for each of them. Warp Totems are so useful if you want to stay overnight or need to teleport to fish as quickly as possible in the ocean (to get squids, octopus, etc).

Besides the mines, I find a few patches in the forest. I don't clear those up though so I have no idea if those grow back every season or not.
