Where to find a dorado?

This is the only normal fish that I'm missing.
Wiki states that you can fish it in the river during the day at summer season, but I've been fishing for more than 10 days in the village river and it doesn't appear.

Can someone offer some info on this? Did anyone actually managed to catch one on summer?

yea same here it's one of the few fishes I'm missing, my current summer is about to end and I feel bad. I just can't find this fish

I would try going to the forest and fishing in that river. Who knows, maybe it'll work :)

Caught them in the river stretch just south of Leah's house in summer. Vary your cast distance too. Good luck.

I had the same problem, but with Pufferfish. I couldn't catch one for the life of me until toward the end of Summer. Only one I've caught, and it went straight to the bundle.

I caught one on the beach just south of the cabin, I think they spawn in the waters between the beach and the deep ocean.

So regarding Dorados. I caught on standing on the river bank south of Leah's cabin, on the same side as her cabin to avoid confusion. I could see her cabin while fishing.

So they are definitely in that stretch of river without a doubt. They are difficult to catch, so get ready for a fight!

Anyone has new information about Dorados? I am in my second summer and could not catch it. It is the day 25 and I have already fished the river in town and the river near leahs house.

It is in the river below her house, I have caught them there. Have you fished during sunny and rainy days? Just keep fishing, they are amongst the harder to catch (though I had minimal trouble).

I kept getting Dorado (with every single hit) also south of Leah's house, but in the little corner next to the two lily leaves floating on the water. I used the iridium pole, with a dressed spinner and max cast distance.

Dang ... I fished one out of the trash near the Saloon, haha. :-S

I wish I had known how hard it is to catch. I wound up hitting the reset button on that game day because I made a mistake. Still -- try the trash, if anyone else is having problems.

I don't understand this game... Almost always I catch a legendary fish on my first time, but I can't even catch a dorado? I have tried so many different locations in the forest. I tried where you catch the Glacierfish, south of Leah's house, on the small island with the tree... The list continues. I am using an iridium rod, level 9 fishing, and the trap bobber. This is getting really frustrating because I have dedicated so many days to catch ONE fish.

The location along the river is entirely irrelevant, so long as you are fishing in the forest (fishing at the Glacierfish spot, however, pretty much ensures a gold-quality catch). Did you make sure to fish at the correct time? Summer, before sunset?
