save your trash you can build a machine later in the game that lets you turn trash into usefull items

keep it. you'll use it with the reclycler you get later on. although i haven't built mine yet, so i'm not sure how useful it is

It's not useful enough to be worth saving trash imo, you can open your inventory and there is a trash can on the right side, you can throw your itens there to get rid instead of throwing in nature.

Depends on where you are in the game really. Early on you won't have the resources to generally use it (recycler) but you can save them for when you have one but it depends on how you value storage space and such. Mid stage if you have a recycler is pretty useful but will get some less worthwhile stuff from it. Late stage even the stuff you gain from the recycler isn't really useful and you will likely have a stockpile of those useful resources and will be a semi waste of time to fiddle with recyclers so can be best to just throw away.

Save broken CD's and glasses. They'll give refined quartz. And I think the "junk" or "trash" or how this item is called gives you coal. The other stuff is worthless and only gives you one single piece of wood or stone.

To be fair it is a matter of perspective on what counts as worthless, some people need more wood and others (like myself) can consider refined quartz semi junky.

If you need wood, chop some trees. Will be far more efficient and a lot faster, too. If you need stone, go into the mines. There you'll drown in quartz at a certain point too, but still it's much rarer than wood or stones.

To be fair most things shy of iridium are semi junk to me. There are more effective routes than recycler but some people seem very fond of them but who am I to judge ...

I guess that's because you've already played the game for 56 hours. Other people who aren't so far yet will think otherwise.

Just saying a matter of perspective, even with the fact it gets refined quartz, there are better ways to get it if you need it. You can still get other stuff even on the things that can give quartz from the recycler.
