what do falling petals on spring day mean?
There are petals falling on my screen.. it's spring, so I'm wondering if there's any bonus to harvesting or something else special to this?

Just falling petals. Don't see any benefits of falling leaves or petals IRL other than making it harder to see.

I think their purpose is to look pretty. I think they achive that goal. =P

PS: If they do have any gameplay effect, I'd also like to know. Still think it's just aesthetic.

Not sure, I'm curious about this as well though.

Falling petals and the weather report about pollen probably means more tree seeds on the ground

Spring is the season of growth, too. It's life returning to the world. :)

it's a weather thing, like when you watch the weather report and it ssays it will be widy all day, that's it
Falling Petals indicate that Zel'Xena-rathru is coming to stardew valley to destroy all life. I suggest you wipe your game save to spare the villagers from the horrible fate that is coming.

They are cherry blossoms. Most commonly used in Japanese games to denote Spring. If you're ever fortunate enough to find yourself near Kyoto around that time of year, you will understand. :steamhappy:

Indeed, the Cherry blossoms foretell the return of the Devourer of Worlds, Zel'Zena-rathru.
It signifies the day you'll meet the mysterious and beautiful transfer farmer from out of town while on your way to Pierre's to meet up with your childhood friend. Your first encounter with him or her won't go well, but she'll take an interest in you.

Indeed, you will meet your childhood friend before El'Garbo Rak'shal aq'on bursts from your childhood friend's chest and reveals its true nature: the destruction of stardew valley.

That it is windy? I also think it is suppose to symbolise pollon, not exactly petals.

It is not windy, the air is shaking at the approach of the Legnedary Om-nak rashhadaw,-Devourer of universes. The pollen is but the dust of an infinite number of destroyed worlds falling off of the World Destroyer.

Pollen...?
I think I'd rather believe that they're cherry blossoms, ANYTHING other than pollen.
