Fertilizer in greenhouse on repeat plants.
So, if I fertilize a repeating plant (corn or one of those), in the greenhouse, does the fertilizer last forever, since the crop never dies? If so, greenhouse up a bunch of those, stick quality fertilizer on it, and you have infinitely fertilized crops forever right?

Yes, it does, at least I never saw it go off, make sure to use the advanced one so that you don't need to replant them later on the game.

I wonder if quick grow or quality would result in more money.

By the time you get the greenhouse I'd wager you'd already be getting enough gold tier crops naturally for the quality one to be meaningless. I like your way of thinking. Can't wait to use the -25% growth time on starfruit in the greenhouse... *_*

I think the quality fertilizer will give you more, if you use the top one so many plants come as gold and the money is so high, the quick grow is not that usefull because 10% is not much, will hardly give you more than 1 day, so I'm quite sure quality is the best choice.
I also suggest this chart you:
https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1wgpGDKF4duBeeSwmZxKLAnGU2BJsvoZ5K-CGzKKZTfU/edit?pref=2&pli=1#gid=307024187

To help you make your choice, if you haven't got the seed maker yet to make ancient and rare plants in high numbers go for blueberries or cranberries. (blueberries have a lower initial cost but cranberries will give you more money over a longer time)

EDIT: Huro remembered me that the top growth one is 25%, not 10%, so it may be worth it after all, but I would still go with quality, as combined with level 10 farming almost every crop will be a gold star.

The best fertilizer actually shaves 25% of the growth time. For a plant that takes 12 days, like the cauliflower for example, that would save you 4 days. I don't remember the growth cycle of the starfruit or the ancient seed, but I remember they were long. In those conditions, cutting one fourth of the growth time can be very significant.

Yeah, I dont have seed machine or greenhouse yet anyways, im just planning ahead during this long ass downtime ive got. Ive been in the mine for days murdering everything to get dwarf scroll 4. still no sign of anything. Ive gotten every bundle I can fill at the moment done, waiting on some ♥♥♥♥ to build and so on, so im focusing on that sort of stuff for the last few days of the season.

Very interesting. Sounds like I'll have to replant my greenhouse. Got jumpy and planted everything with crap fertilizer.

Quick update, but I'm noticing the fertilizer visuals wear off from greenhouse soil on season change. It could be that the effect persists in spite of the visuals getting removed, but that would be a bug.

It was kinda OP having permanently fertilized soil, to be honest, though it's definitely an annoyance what with not being able to fertilize repeat plants after the first season in which they were planted.

Yeah, if thats been changed im still totally alright with that. permafertile soil was super unfair.

I've since tested here and it does wear of when the season changes. But it's possible to apply at least the speed one on the grown plants. (I didn't test the others but someone told me the quality one can't be reapplied)
