Skipping tool tiers

Is posible to skip tool tiers? Like going from nothing to gold, without upgrading to copper or iron first?

Im a bit of a rat, and I dont want to waste money getting copper when I can go gold :D

No. The only options the blacksmith offers you is the next version, ie, if you just have the basic axe, the only axe upgrade available in the blacksmith is copper.

You could edit the world save file in notepad or other. So if you wanna increase money you go into the save file and press ctrl + F and search <Money> and just add. I think the upgrade tier is <upgradeLevel>
