possible to buy copper bars?

As the title says, is there some way in game I can buy copper bars. I've been trying to keep my character to a specific skill set for this run and don't want her to be smelting but i can't find any other way to get copper bars.

It seems odd that the blacksmith wouldn't sell that kind of stuff.

One of my characters I have is a lumberjack, although I only grow crops I need because there are ingredients for useful foods.

I do still do mining for bars for tool upgrades.

The only thing he sells is ore. You could also find bars from monsters in the mines lower down.
