Building Farm Structures - only available Chicken Coop?

Almost at the end of spring and I wanted to start building some farm structures. I went to visit the carpenter and all that is available is the Chicken Coop. Do I have to build structures in a specific order? Because I was hoping to build a silo so I could start clearing the grass off the land.

There should be some arrows at the bottom of the menu that let you page through the options.
