What is the Starfruit for?

I got a Starfruit seed in Spring for giving Gunther my precious stuff. So in Summer I planted and grew it and now I have a single Starfruit that I have looked up to be worth only like 150 gold or something.

There must be something else to do with it? Doesn't have extraordinarily energy/hp stats or is worth alot.. Is there some crafting recipe ?


Or did Gunther just ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ scam me with a ♥♥♥♥ seed?

Think it is just a crop. Isn't a bad earner but then again all crops have decent rates of return. If you want seeds that are a bit of a pain to get and have really long growth times and sell prices then the rare and ancient seeds are the way to go. Rare seed's fruit also has an extra use but not going to spoil it here without you requesting it. I think ancient seed's fruit might also have an extra use but I haven't found it yet.

It's actually the best and most profitable summer crop if you look at time to grow x selling price and do the maths for the season-time earnings, the point is that you need high level faming, I think it's 9, to get the seed maker, a machine where you put a fruit/vegetable and gets some seeds from it, so you grow your first starfruit, put it in there and multiply it, soon you're making huge plots of them and becoming rich, specially on the summer of the next year where you'll have a higher number of seeds ready if you were smart to save them.

Later on I am pretty sure you can just buy them at least I am sure I did. You get an extra few seeds from the shop in the second year and is also the desert shop which I think is where they are sold.

2. plant and farm those yummy starfruits
3. make wine out it
4. PROFIT

and i mean alot of profit, like a small loan of a million dollar-profit

i keep them in my greenhouse, i produce starfruit wine all year and im filthy rich >:D

its the best fruit in my opinion

They're not sold on Pierre's afaik, but it's good to know I can buy them on the desert, I haven't unlocked the desert yet.

I got myself a silver starfruit from that seed and it worth 1100!!! ahaha lucky me, I guess I'll just keep it until I have that seed maker then...
