Tree removal with mega bomb?

I need to clear the 1000s of trees that are on the west side of my farm, would a mega bomb one hit the trees? Or should I save the mats?

Bombs do seem to weaken the trees... mega bombs took one hit all the trees in its radius with my golden axe, and took four bombs to bring them down to stumps. Lesser bombs are less effective.

Found out the mega bomb is pretty useless, damages trees but does not take them down.

2 mega bombs will fell the tree and another 1 will get rid of the stump. The SW corner of my farm had literally every tile consumed by a tree and I was able to clear it all in a few minutes, keeping the wood too (3000 wood!). I shudder to think of how long it'd have taken to do that by hand.

At first, I felt overwhelmed by the amount of trees on my land. The pine trees were particularly invasive. They seem to out-compete the oaks and maples.

But I found that just chopping a few each day, and thinning out saplings, the forests became quite simple to manage. By the end of the first year, I had cleared everything east of the large pond, leaving a large but manageable forest to the west.

There was a lot of new crap in my second spring, but I had it under control by the end of the first week.

Anyway, my point is, I have never felt bombs necessary to maintain my farm.

You need 4 big red bombs to "kill" the trees :)
