Sell or Save Produce?
I've been saving up about 75% of the produce I farm up because I thought I'd need to keep it around. However, in return, my wallet's been hurting (I'm 7 days into fall and only earned about 75,000). Do you guys recommend selling anything I grow, or save it for food or whatever?

I've been jamming up Ancient Fruit I grow, and I've got honey and some maple syrup and eggs. I just have one chicken because I've been trying to save up for gear upgrades and House upgrades... but now I saw that the Nursery Upgrade is going to cost me 50,000, and I'm lucky to make 5-8k in a week if that.

Any recommendations because I feel like I'm way too behind. I haven't been planting a lot. I mean... I have 5-10 of each possible fruit/veggie/flower going at any point in time, and often grab more for some extra moolah, but, like I said, I've been trying to save up for upgrades. Should I just splurge on seeds since it's fall (and I guess Winter = no farming) and wait for the bigger better upgrades in Winter/Spring? I've gotten down to Level 95 of the Cave as well.

8 Star Leah

6 Star Penny

Iridium Fishing Pole, Steel Pick Axe, Copper Water Can and Copper Axe. Kitchen Upgrade. Mushroom Cave. About 400 Wood and 600 Stone saved up.

Just the way I've been doing it,
Save one gold star of everything in a chest for the grange(I think its spelt that way lol) competion in fall.
Keep 10 of everything you make of regular quality for gifts, missions, cooking, ect.
Sell all silver/gold items in excess of the competion item.
Any excess regular items over the 10 I save, I then turn into juice or wine (I then save 10 of those as well)

I got alot of chests lol/

Can you separate stacks of stuff? I haven't figured that out yet if it's possible. Partly why a lot of my stuff is just in chests. I can't separate them out for separate purposes, either because I can't or I just haven't found out how.

I haven't cooked any food for over a year, and I was doing just fine. The only food I eat is the Field Snack. When money was still a problem, I usually kept 2 normal pieces of each crop in case there is a quest or something, and 1 golden star piece. I rarely use crops as a present. And now I always have 80.000-100.000 gold, a fully upgraded barn and coop etc., so in short, I'd sell everything besides maybe 2-3 pieces.

right clicking on a stack picks the items up one at a time instead of the whole stack.

Now I'm worried about this Grange thing. I'd been selling most of the Gold-Star stuff I'd gotten since it was worth a pretty penny. Currently, I have a Gold Blackberry, 3 or 4 Gold Fish and 2 or 3 Gold Minerals.

You'll need 9 gold items for the competition, so I guess you'll make it. But if you don't win this year, it's not a big deal, either.

Does it have to be a variety amongst types of items, or can I have several Gold Star Fish and still be okay? I have like 6 Gold Fish now and at least 9 Gold Items now.

Do you mean fish in general, or only one certain species? My guess is that gold items of one single type won't work. For example 6x Tuna fish = bad, but 1x bream, 1x sardine, 1x anchovy etc. will be fine. I've always picked 9 completely different items.

I sell pretty much all my gold/silver stuff and pretty much just save a few normal of each incase I need it.
Don't see much point in saving all your gold stuff for the fall festival, I got second place my first try with only, I think one gold vegie and some other nicknacks I picked up from my travels.

I ended up getting first place with 9 Gold Stars - 3 Fish, a coral, 5 fruit, and a Quartz lol. Score of 93.
