How do you harvest

Okay might be a stupid question but I just started the game and it's been 4 days so my crops should be ready for harvesting, but I dunno how, I already broke 2 crops with my axe by accident. sry I suck

You can easily see when your crops are ready. You can see the vegetable. Just right click on them and you should be able to get them. You can even see a + sign on the crop when you can harvest them.

Yes, what Samael said is true. However, you also have to be aware that a few crops have to be harvested via your scythe (this is indicated on their tooltip pop-up. Kale and Wheat are two examples I can think of right now.

Also, Tea, the game doesn't take into account the day you plant them. So if you plant Turnips(Parsnips?) On the 1st of the month, they won't be harvestable until the 5th
