Fishing - Too much trash?

Hello! I`m currently level 5 fishing. I fished much in the game and I wonder if all of you guys have the same problem as me.

Everytime I go fishing I usually catch more trash than fishes.For example. Just before I got pissed and decided to write this, I used the rod 12 times. From these 12 times only 4 were fish. I don`t know if it's my luck or if I'm doing something wrong. That's 75% trash right there. And trust me, most times it's 50-75%...

I use the rod to MAX and even switch spots sometimes (I use baits too). But I don't know. Maybe it's just like this...

Hmm that's odd. I always go fishing too. It's like my main source of earning gold.
Most of the times I get a fish actually.
like maybe 1 in 10 is trash in my game.
Maybe you just have bad luck?

I wanted it to be my main source too. haha I really liked the fishing. But this trash thing is making it pretty hard...

It's entirely random so you've just been having really bad luck. Sometimes I get tons of trash too. I noticed that the big pond below your farm has a ton more trash than fish too. Everytime I try to fish there, trash is all I mostly get.

Just put on some bait on the rod you'll get more fish. Used to get a ♥♥♥♥ tload of trash then i just contantly used bait. if its not working just remove the bait and re equip. some how it works

Space Ferret, I noticed that too. The ocean seems to work best for me.

Depends on where you fish actually, you can also fish deep down in the caves for some special fish

save the trash for the recycling machine... it make trashes to resource

also watch the tv fortune channel... lucky day = more treasures, bigger catches... bad day = trash and low quality fishes.

Higher skill gives less trash. Bait gives less trash. Certain areas have more trash than others.

I almost never get any trash anymore with level 10 fishing and never-ending bait. Some places still give a lot of trash though. The mine pools, the pond in the woods give a lot. The ponds at your house only give trash I think. Which is useful if you want easy refined quartz, by the way.

get a trash machine thingy, sometimes it makes stuff thats worth more than fish.

I don't know if it's a bug or a feature. But while the market was on in winter, I was getting nothing BUT trash. This never happened before. And yes, I did have bait.

It scares me sometimes that Sam drinks cans of joja I've pulled out of oceans, swamps, sewers, and lava. Is his friendship worth whatever chemicals are in his blood?

Trash drops are all about the game rolling dice. It's very easy to make fishing very profitable. My fields are little more than gift-generators, really.

Cave or pond(s) at farm have much higher trash chance than river in city or ocean iirc.

Use bait lower trash chance too.
