Skull Cavern WTF?
There doesn't seem to be a lift, but you're supposed to be able to go through 25 levels in one day? I've gotten to 14 at best and it was already 8 PM by then. Are you supposed to make tons of staircases and bombs?

i like to know this as well i know there are holes you can find buy come on also wiki said there is a staircase from the basic mines that lead to the skull dungeon once you unlock it i have no staircase so i guess i have to alwasy take the bus? unless i am missing something

There's Shafts that can drop you down up to 15 floors at a time

Oh god tell me its not magical melody all over again! Got sent down like 5 floors then sent back up 10 then fell down 15 and ko. God mining in that game was annoying.

My record so far is floor 42 before I ran out of time in the day and had to head back. Generally speaking is a bit luck based on how far you get and the holes make a huge difference. Honestly it doesn't vary much and the reaching floor 25 reward honestly was a huge disappointment. With my best attempt I only brought tools and food but did use some bombs I had drop. The gems and such you get is more than enough to cover the cost of the trip.

When do you "run out of time"? does it just kick you out or do you HAVE to be at the bus by a certain time or your stranded? I can't find anything about this and I'm scared to wait too long and find out

Upgrade your hammer to at least Gold.
Carry bombs for mummies.
Carry a Warp-to-Farm.

I got to level 50 without using a staircase.

Make or buy a ton of bombs
Bring a ton of regular food (also some lucky food too if you want)
Wait for a day the fortune teller says its lucky/good day

Go to dungeon and place bombs to find way down
Eat while a bomb is placed so it explodes and time is "paused"

Repeat

Its better to avoid enemies than fight them for time sake usually.
