Can You Miss Heart Events?

Let's say I'm sitting at seven hearts with someone, but I've yet to trigger their six-heart event. If I hit eight hearts with them, will I miss the previous event, or will the previous event still need to be triggered before the next one?

From what I've seen, heart events can't be triggered unless you've already seen all the events that come before it.

I know that for certain characters it wouldn't make any sense if their heart events were done out of order. For example, Leah asks you for advice about something in her two-heart event and then references the advice you gave her in her four-heart event. And the music that Sam's band plays in his eight-heart event changes depending on what you say during his two-heart event, etc.

well i did miss Abigail's 6 hearth Event but i still got all others. so id say some hearth events are missable. or ill see it next spring.

I gifted Maru a cauliflower on her birthday and the hearts jumped way up (plus regular gifting before and after) before I'd really sussed the heart-event thing. Just got the 6-heart event, and then the 4-heart event after that. Not sure it's the same for all chars, but clearly there's wiggle room regards order.

The only heart-event that you can actually miss is Sam's heart event where he talks about his dad, don't remember which event specifically, but you can't trigger it after year 1, irrc, all others should be able to be triggered as long as it's the required time, weather, season and hearts. You can also trigger any of them at any time.

I'm pretty sure you can also miss Clint's 7 (or maybe 6) Heart Event if you have a very good relationship with Emily

You're right. Clint's 6 heart event cannot be triggered if you have seen Emily's Eight Heart or Ten Heart event.

I got Alex's later heart events event though I missed his first event. (It was only available in the summer). Later I got the event.

I have a question. I'm at 9 hearts with Alex but I really want to see his 8 heart scene. I'm going into Winter soon and I'm barely talking to him so I can keep it at 9 but will it still trigger the scene when I reach Summer? I haven't missed any of his scenes either.

Who has specific events that unlock things? Like Shane's 8 heart event unlocking blue chickens
Assuming the rest are just story enhancing but you don't get anything from it.
