DayTime scale too short?
Its about 10 sec in real life for every 10 min in game. Plz devs make the days longer. Sometimes i dont have time to pass through 5 level in the mines without passing out. It would be nice to have more time to explore and do all the things that you want to do.

its 10 sec ig to 7 sec rl right now. 1:1 is something people have asked for though. Its unclear what will happen, singe he liked it even faster i recall, 10 sec ig is 5 rl was his original speed.

Than make a option for this people they want a longer day time.
Example: 7 days to die has an option where you can choose how long a ingameday runs in realtime.

There is a mod for this, but I agree that it could be made an in game option. Wouldn't hurt.

passing out? Get some veges or cooking meals to heal stamina/health

I don't think it's that time is too slow, it's that the chr. runs too slow. *wink

Game is obviously designed towards making people prioritize their days. if you want to mine/get down a lot of mine levels, you either don't try to break up every rock, you use a lot of bombs, or you bring several salads and start first thing in the morning and mine all day, or you leave most of your mining for the winter or whatever else.

I personally would like it if the day felt about 1/4 longer than it does now, but once I became familiar with the map layout and other stuff, it doesn't seem as bad. Still a rushed feeling, but manageable.

If you are finding you don't have time to do everything you're trying to do, then you are doing to much an need to cut back on you're daily schedule.

The game is designed intentionally to make players have to manage their time, you aren't supposed to be able to do everything in a single day particularly towards the beginning (though later on you can get things like fast travel through mine carts and warp totems which gives more flexibility.

As to stamina bring food with you or use the spa. If even with that you are running out of stamina then as has been mentioned use other tactics like not breaking every single rock and using tools like cherry bombs to expedite the process a little and beyond that you can always come back the next day. The game has no hard time limit so it's pressuring you.

Getting a horse and using the mine carts to get around really helps out as well.

Compared to how some Harvest Moons felt to me... "What will I do with all this time" is how i've felt the entire time playing.. I have more time then chores - unless your just mining then time seems to disappare much quicker..

If we had to much more time thered be no time managment element and thats always been a part of these games (some worse then others).. Not sure that needs removed..

Regardless I agree he should add an option for slower and faster time.. For people who want it.. Options are always nice.

I'd say if there are to be options that so heavily affect the very balance and difficulty levels of the entire game on several fronts (which is to me, already a delicate, well-designed balance), I'd think that in my opinion difficulty levels selectable at the beginning of a play through during character creation would be the only acceptable way to implement such and to make 0.5s / 1m = Hard, default(0.75s / 1m) = Normal, 1s / 1m = Easy and 2s / 1m = Hand-Holding Baby Mode haha

Er, 10 seconds for 10 minutes would make each hour one minute long. So that would mean 12 hours in-game is twelve minutes. It's not too long or too short.

Then 12 x 7 is 84 so seven days would equal 84 minutes.

84 x 4 is 336 minutes for a month.

This is all considering your character is awake for twelve hours per day in-game.
____

(Math for 7 seconds per 10 minutes below.)

7 seconds per 10 minutes makes each hour 42 seconds long. 12 hours in-game would be around 8 minutes and a half long.

Then 8 x 7 is 56 so seven days would equal 56 minutes.

56 x 4 is 224 minutes for a month.

224 minutes is around 5 hours and a half long. The ♥♥♥♥?! You all on some red bull or some ♥♥♥♥ when playing this game??

Time scale is perfectly balanced.

If your days are way too longer, you'll probably get a lot more done in one day and in the end, you'll get bored before the end of the first year.
dynastystar Mar 6, 2016 @ 6:15am
There's a mod for that.

The game is manageable at its current speed, but I do prefer the ten second is 10 minute ratio. It just let's me relax more. If you're really bothered by it, there is a mod. Check the stickied topic.

That's your opinion, and you're welcome to it, but I agree that there should at least be an option to adjust it.

It's not my opinion. It's from a game mechanic stand point.
