Desert Mines Checkpoints/Saving?
I take the earliest bus at 10:00 to the desert, go immediately into the cave and try to descend as fast as possible. at 10PM i'm on floor ~15 ish every time (once at 23 due to multiple holes luck).

But there doesn't seem to be any checkpoints or elevators to save. How are you supposed to make it down that far in so little time? i read people get to 50+, do they do it from floor 1 in one go? Am I missing something?

Lots of food, good combat level, good gear

proft

I still want to know if you can ACTUALLY kill the mummies though...easy monsters but annoying since you have to keep incompacitating them.

You can kill them I usually knock them down with the sword and then use any of the bombs I have made and it destroys them.

i have food gear and combat level. I have the 25k sword, combat level9.
the question is not that it's hard. the question is time. How do you get 25, 50 or even 100 levels in only ~12 ingame hours?

For the most part I tend to horde about 100 bombs/mega bombs and wait for the fortune chan to give good luck and then just got on a bombing run. Take plenty of food as jumping down the holes can sometimes damage you as well.

Well I never carry bombs and generally a waste of resources to make them not to mention they're not cheap to buy if you get them from the dwarf.

The cherry Bombs are easy to craft by your own.

I tend to farm for Iron in the base dungeon/mines for 2-3 days and get enough supplies to build about 35-50 bombs or so.

I really enjoyed the mine, but to read this and hear that the desert one doesnt have an elevator mechanic is very disappointing.

The desert 'mine' is basically an endless dungeon, So far the deepest I've heard is floor 175~ or so, and the deepest I've seen a friend go is 145. Theres no check point because near as we can tell, there is no End.

You could also just save up your stone and build tons of stone stairs at 99 stone each.

How the hell do you get to 175 much less 145? Just incredibly lucky on holes?
Lucky holes, LOTS of bombs, tons of crafted staircases, lots of good HP healing food, and a 'Runrunrun' mentality.

yea that doesn't seem right. if you are ~12 hours in the mines (that's pretty much maximum) and 7 real seconds are 10 minutes gametime that means you have ~500 seconds or 8.5 minutes maximum to spent in the mine.

Floor 175 would mean he found a ladder every 2.8 seconds.
I call bs. even with holes (they drop you 2-9 floors) it doesn't add up.

Just curious but how many floors are there to the desert dungeon?

I'm tempted to use my trainer to get inf HP and stamina to see how many floors there are because it sounds like its limitless.
Thoogah Mar 1, 2016 @ 2:27am
well I don't have the answer and it's a good question, it'd be nice to get checkpoins every 20 floors or so, farthest I got was 21, haven't run into holes, then crafted staircases for Mr Qi's quest

Hmm

Guess Ill run my trainer and see if I can find the bottom to this ♥♥♥♥♥ because unless RNGesus is on your side for finding fall holes and you have tons of stone stairs I find it highly unlikely for anyone to reach the bottom given that the first 70 to 100 floors seem like one hell of a lottery to get through in a single day(20 in game hours).

I'm currently at floor 90 playing without my trainer and this dungeon gets really boring after a while so I'm gonna let my curiosity take the wheel and go god mode on this ♥♥♥♥♥ lol.
