Finding tricky fish

So I'm trying to complete some of the fishing bundles and there always seems to be one or two fish that I just can't find.

Catfish, fished plenty of times in the rivers during the daytime, with rain. Haven't seen a single one.

Largemouth Bass, says it's supposed to be in lakes during the day any weather. Haven't seen one yet :(

Red Snapper, catching TONS of red mullet. No red snapper in sight

Anyone have any luck getting these? I'm reeling in loads of everything else, especially all the darn filler fish that don't count for any quests. I'm surprised I haven't seen any by now after all the bait I've gone through.

I've caught plenty of Largemouth Bass in the North East section. Haven't found any Catfish or Red Snapper either, although I haven't been looking.

You mean the lake right up outside the mine entrance?

Yup. It was winter when I caught them. Not sure if some fish are seasonal.

Yeah that's where they are. I've found loads of them.

Ah, I've been mainly in the lake to the SouthWest of the farm with the dock.

Yeah some fish are seasonal according to this http://stardewvalleywiki.com/Fish all 3 of the ones I'm looking for should be available in winter as well as some other seasons.

All lake fish are found in front of the mine. The pond near the wizard tower has river fish, not lake fish.

On a sidenote. Where/how do I get the Iridium Rod. I have some tackle I want to use but I can't find that particular rod.

It becomes unlocked and purchasable in the fishing hut once you progress through your fishing skill. You'll get a letter in the mail telling you when it's there.
