Moving Fruit Trees
I just accidentally planted a cherry tree sapling somewhere I do not want a cherry tree sapling. Is there a way to uproot it and move it? I haven't experimented because I don't want to destroy it.

If it's still just a seed you can use the pick to dig up the seed. This works on oak, pine and maple at least.

It's not. As far as I know, you don't plant fruit trees as a seed, but as a sapling. I guess I'll have to just suck it up and see what happens.

Yea, I tried to uproot one I planted by mistake and it just destroyed it. Had to go buy another.

I've since learned to be much more carefull about how I place things when trying to make pretty designs trusting the controller to place something in front of your character is not wise, always use a mouse or the 2nd stick to make sure it's placing in a specific location.

Thanks for the reply! I'll just have to eat this one, I guess. LIVE AND LEARN.

It would be nice if while holding the sapling, an overlay would appear on the ground showing where the item would be placed.

once they are growing they do look like they are slightly placed higher than a fully grown one if that helps? XD

at first i thought i placed them a tile too high but when they were grown they were all lvl

There is a checkbox in the options menu to always show tool hints. This places a red box on the ground where your current action will occur (pick, hoe, planting, watering, etc.) However be warned it does seem a bit buggy and is only accurate ~80% of the time.
