Help for those complaining about the zoom level (Nvidia Cards)
If you turn on DSR settings (all of them) in the Nvidia control panel, put stardew valley in fullscreen and turn up the resolution. The higher resolution will increase your scope of vision.

Not sure if a guide, so I just put it here.

PS: 2160x1440 (1440p) seems to be a good sweet spot because the UI isn't too small.

It's nice for those that have this option, but plenty of people like I, don't. Kinda ridiculous when you think about it that you need an medium/good graphic card to have a resolution high enough to appreciate a 2D pixel art game...
Hopefully this is fixed or a zoom level option is implemented.

You don't need a medium or good graphics card to have a resolution high enough to appretiate this game. I just saw people in the negative reviews mostly complaining that they couldn't see anything even though the default zoom level is good enough (purely opinion on that. But I don't really see the point in seeing super far away in a farming game like this).

But even some of the older Nvidia cards have the option to crank the resolution up on a computer.

However, if you're on AMD I wouldn't know if there are any settings like that to mess around with. So with that, I'd understand where you're coming from.

Well I can say that my GT630M with latest driver can't do that...
The problem is not that we see less field than higher res, it would be normal, it's that everything is at least 1.5 to 2 times bigger than your average picture/video from the game, like zoomed in therefore yes we see far less field.
It's like the game scales very badly at low resolutions. For example I can't see the skeleton in joja corp in the intro. If you had this problem you surely wouldn't say that it is a matter of opinion.

Shiranui, there is a temporary fix for cards that can't use DSR settings.
