A Map and some Templates I made

So earlier today I browsed through the discussions and a few pages in (not sure where it's now, it's so lively here :o) I found a topic where someone made a map using an excel sheet. I remembered a project someone did for HM: A New Beginning using google drive that was similar. Back then I used that project's map and corrected a few flaws (wrong count of squares) and adjusted the templates for my own use with Gimp as tool to drag and drop stuff as I like it.
So I got inspired and went to work. I actually build the map from scratch cause - again - ocd me notice a few tiny flaws and only used the dimensions for the buildings from the excel sheet.

I could try to set up a thing like they did with HM: ANB in google drive but at this point in time I don't quite know how and personally I find using Gimp (which is free) easier to use.
I'd love feeback on this in case I did also make some mistakes with dimensions (pretty sure the map is accurate but not quite sure about the buildings - I actually haven't played that much yet ^^;).

Can i ask .. what is the point of making a map like that ? I would have understood if it was a map of the region ingame with tooltips and markers (More details than the map ingame) to help new players ... but a map of your farm ?? What do you want me to do with that ?

I am not gonna take your map and copy and paste your farm to my game. I want to build MY FARM.

???? It's to help people plan out how they want to build their farms obviously.

A lot of HM players, me included, have made use of such maps in the past for planning purposes. If you would like to have a nicely looking or just very organised farm, having such a toolset can help create a plan before you blindly place pathways or fields etc. Early game it's not that needed, but later on when you have more freedom to structure your farm the way you'd like, it can be useful. (At least I predict, since that's been the case in previous HM games for me and this pretty much operates the same)

If you had bothered to look at the image you would have seen it's a blank map. It's for the sake of helping people plan out how to set up their farm.

If you scroll down you will see that there are pics for some of the buildings etc - you open the main pic in a program like gimp then use layers over the top of it to experiment with where you would like to put everything

From an old-school HM player who *did* use grid maps to plan his farms, this is awesome! This tool will be incredibly useful for people who enjoy major pre-planning. Kudos to you!
