Above the Wizard's house there is a hollowed out log you need a steel axe to chop. its in the very northwest corner and it leads to a small area with some slimes and some hardwood stumps as well as the ferns. basically just follow the northmost fence to the left and youll find the log.

Theres never anything up there but the logs and slimes and the fishing place... do you have to fish it out?

I found 2 on the ground there during late summer. I'm not sure if they appear during fall too as I'm only on day 2. I also got a few mushrooms in both summer and fall if you need those.
