I couldn't find it until fall, even if the wiki states spring. Go to whatever river in fall and you will be swimming in them. If it is useful for you I started catching them by the river near the joja mart, in the morning

There is another thing to it, it needs to be raining or snowing to get the tiger trout.

I got mine on a clear day. By the blacksmith/library, fishing from the bridge, middle of the afternoon towards the evening.

It's rare, but you'll know you've hooked it when it's moving up and down like crazy.

Weird, I only get them when it's snowing and I think I saw in the wiki too that it needs to be raining/snowing. Well in this case sorry for the wrong info.

It could be that you have a better opportunity to catch it while it is raining, it's just more rare if it isn't. I was on that bridge for a long time and caught around 15 fish, and it was almost my last one that was the trout.

I got my tiger trout first try just left of the blacksmith, tried again about 7 times to see the frequency and got another, it was afternoon, clear day.
