Preserve Jar/Keg quality?
I started to notice that no matter how many stars the item I put inside to make pickles, it always ends up being normal quality.

Does it matter at all putting high quality crops inside or everything will be always the same?
Same question for keg.

fro mwhat I've seen so far there is no quality difference for artisan goods, so its probably better to sell your higher quality fruits and stuff

Mmmh, if you use a large egg you get gold star Mayonnaise, and that is an Artisan item. Haven't tried anything else yet.

Yep, sell fruits with a star, save the normal quality ones for wine.

It must be different for animal products then, because for crops the quality doesn't matter. There is only one quality of wine and the fruit also doesn't matter. It all sells for 400g.

Huh?

Salmonberry wine goes for 15g
Cranberry wine for 390g

Different prices based on what you turn into wine.

Same with perserving.

Salmonberry 60g
Cranberry 310g

So it is good to find out what to use with what device so you are not wasting the time turning Salmonberries into wine...

I find it does not matter either. Tried it on different quilty grapes and hops in the keg too.

I was going by my journal. If you're right then wine is just a x3 multiplier. And if you're right then preserving makes no logical sense. A salmonberry is 5g, a cranberry is 130g.

I'm skeptical, but I guess I'll start checking every time I ship wine from now on to make sure.

Thanks, seem like I wasted a lot of gold pumpkins for nothing.

Shoot, I sold most of my normal quality crops and kept the sliver/gold stars assuming that would make better preserves. Guess I'll reverse course, sell the good stuff and wait for next season to start making pickled veggies and fruit jams.
