Collecting the last; fishing.
I've managed pretty much on my own (the wiki was useless at best and a troll at worst when I started) to collect everything but two remaining fish. The Legend and the Glacierfish.

After having gone through two years I'm still lacking for where to go for these two fish, has anyone else found them? Could you give me the location, season, and weather when you caught them?

Isn't the Legend the one where the fish icon in the minigame has a little crown on it and extremely hard to catch? Never caught it myself but it seems like it would be it. I saw it a couple of times fishing at the ocean during the day, I don't know if seasons have anything to do with it though, but I was in spring time.

MFW the game has only been out a couple days and you nearly have all of the fish already. Wow.

No idea where to get those 2 but if I catch either of them I'll let you know.

Something makes me think that The Legend might only be catch-able once you've caught all other fish. They did the exact same thing in one of the Harvest Moon games (along with having some other insane unlock requirements...) and it took forever to find even once all conditions were met (I think the catch rate was like 1/500 or something).

Anyways, best of luck.

@Chicken'd
Have you caught the Crimsonfish yet? That would seem to be the one you are refering to.

Ah is that what it is referred to? No I have not. I'm not great fisherman like you! Crazy props for catching that beast though I couldn't last a few seconds on it.

I'm quoting a book from the library here:

The Glacierfish, which only appears in winter, can be caught off the southern tip of arrowhead island in Cindersap Forest... near where the river meets the ocean.

The final fish, of a species never before caught, is known simply as 'legend'. It is rumored that he lives in a log submerged in the mountain lake, and only ventures out on rainy spring days to nibble at the frog's eggs. Only the most skilled fisherman can hope to catch this one.

Happy hunting. =)

I heard The Legend is in the lake near the mine and you must cast your bobber near the sunken log. Could be bad info, though.

Do you know if the Eel requires anything special to catch other than raining/night time and proper season?

When I caught an eel it was during the night for me, can't remember if it was raining though.

Is... that southwest on the map Ansalem1? I think I have an idea of where that is, will head there next to try it.

@ A hedgehog I caught 5 Gold star eels in the same night (and didn't see any other types). It was on the southeast ocean dock, during the fall, at night, while raining <-- important.

I have no idea. I assume that's where it means, but I'm just quoting the book in the library that lists the legendary fish.

I caught my eels during the fall when it was raining, at noon. I don't think time matters for the eels, I honestly just think it's about the rain. Thunder storms may not be the same as rainy days, but I'm not certain.
I had a message that I lost a chance at catching Legend or something like that during winter in rain.

Want to confirm catching the fish. Thanks for the book knowledge, seems like the perfect time to restart and do it a little better this go around!

I wasn't suggesting the time was important, but the rain.

To add to this discussion:
Legend Captured

This is the spot to catch legend. Cast as far as you can, facing south.

Done with Trap Bobber and Bait, year 2, First Rainy Spring day, level 10 (no food).
To the best of the current knowledge, Legend can only be caught in Spring on a rainy day in this location.

The sale price for Gold Quality Legend, with the 50% Fish sale buff was 11,250.

I'm having trouble finding the angler. I'm fishing at nights during the summer at the river in town. Is that the correct spot?
Bismar7 Mar 1, 2016 @ 11:19pm
I've caught the Angler. I caught it during the fall in a really odd place. I thought it would be an ocean fish but instead I caught it as far north as you can go above the bridge that connects the town to JoJa corp. There is a strip of sand there with a river that comes from the mine lake.

If you fish that sandy strip at the northern most above the bridge during the fall you should find it.
