Scarecrow radius indicator please.

Would really like a toggle or something to show the scarecrow radius so we can build within the scarecrow 8 square range.

You count to 8 in any direction. The radius is 8. The diameter is 16.

It takes 2 seconds to literally count to 8 in any direction.

If you cannot do this without some kind of system to do it for you ... wow.

Apparently, this is being worked on, and was supposed to be in the last patch. Hopefully we'll see it soon.

As TwinVex's image shows, the range is really not obvious.

As for why... some of us like to plan out our builds precisely, instead of just doing random things and hoping for the best.

Actually if that image is accurate, it's not exactly 8 and as simple as counting off 8 on a grid pattern. Count diagonal from the scarecrow, that's 6, not 8.
