What crop is it? Did the season change while it wasn't fully grown yet? Did any natural disasters happen?
I think it was the horse radish.
No it wasn't a season change, didn't think to specify it. It could have been wild seeds since I did plant a bunch of those but can the seeds give you something from the wrong season?
So far I'm only halfway through my first summer so maybe I'll notice something later or I'll get better and understand what happened :)
Wild seeds basicly grow one of the four items that spawn that season randomly.. The horseradish just has a brown sprite for some reason .. I think every season has that brown sprite though as one of the 4 possiblities for that seed pack.
There is a wild seed pack for each season, they don't spawn stuff from the wrong season.. I think all wilted crops look the same though so once you know what it looks like it'll be easier to spot..
I don't remember exactly what it is, but one of the "Spring Seeds" you get from the first bundle of the Community Center definitely looks like a half-buried, upside down Thanksgiving turkey. The first time I saw it, I thought it was dead as well, but a few days later it spat out some crops. (I don't remember precisely which one.)
