How do I water stuff when my can is being upgraded?

Hi guys. So I gave my watering can to get upgraded. He said it's going to be a few days, but I have crops... What do I do?

thats why you plan stuff :D or get sprinklers or pray it rains

You do the rain dance round you computer :) but yeah it was wierd when i was upgrading my pick axe i got given a second but i did plan ahead an had no crops growing during the upgrade time but now have sprinklers so no need to worry

This was always a challenge in Harvest Moon, as well. I always chose the winters to upgrade the watering can, because it wasn't needed at all during that time. But the same can be said if you're having a streak of rain or if you have sprinklers. With other ways to water your crops, you don't need the watering can on the 2 days it takes to upgrade.

End of season is also a good time to upgrade since most wont make it

When I put my axe in to be upgraded, I was given a new axe when I woke up the next day. Probably a faily safe in case you somehow lose your tools. Maybe the same thing happens for watering cans?

But yeah, either take it for an upgrade the day before it rains (check the weather channel on the TV), get it upgraded during winter when you don't need it (I haven't gotten to winter yet, I'm going on Harvest Moon logic here), or take it for upgrade on the 27th of the month (no point watering on the 28th as the plants will die on the 1st).

Either do it the last day of the season, few days before if you know your crops wont grow or the 1st of the new season since it only takes 2 days anyway in which you could just mine for more time, fish, scavenge, chop tree's or give gifts to townsfolk or whatever else.

Winter is a great time to do it also like previously said unless you're like me and have tons of crops growing at a single time and need to upgrade it beforehand to make it less of a hassle.

It wont matter anyway because once you give him the watering can to upgrade or any tool for that matter you will wake up with it back due to the game thinking it disappeared (Lost & Found) so just use that then put it in a chest when you go get your upgraded can back.
