Introductions

(Please, no spoilers.) I have met 27/28 of the people in the village and I cannot figure out who I'm missing. Is it possible to meet everyone in the first few days or is someone inaccessible until a certain point? I can't, for example, get into the Wizard's Tower but I "hear someone inside." So, do I just need to be patient or am I overlooking someone?

Mine was the doctor had to go behind the counter.

I don't think the wizard counts for that quest (that's not a spoiler, since you can see him in your little "people list"). Look at that list and see if there is any person besides the wizard (dude with purple hat) that has the ??? instead of a name.

Have you talked to shopkeepers behind the counter? Sales window doesn't count.

That's Leah. She lives in one of the houses on the southwest corner of the town, if I'm not mistaken. I think she also hangs out in Pierre's store sometimes. Edit: I was wrong, she lives in the little house south of the animal farm. South of your farm.

I was stuck on 27/28 people until mid summer, after the lua festival. I finally looked at the relationship menu and scrolled down to see who's name was listed as "???". For me it was the old guy in the wheel chair. His portrait was there and I knew who he was. I had actually talked to him at all 3 previous festivals but that didn't count. I just had to refer to the map to find out where he lived, visit his house, and say hello.

I had met the wizard prior to that, but I don't think the wizard counts. Or the governor who attends the lua festival. I think all 28 are available at the beginning of the game, it's just a matter of tracking them down.

Nop, from his screenshot, it's not Penny, it's Leah.

Leah was also the one I was missing, you can stalk her house south of Marnie's Farm if you want to make sure you get her

If you don't think that's a spoiler, you could also check her routine in the wiki. It was the only way I could find Elliot for this quest.

Yeah, that's Leah. She was one of my stragglers too. I can tell you were some of her locations are if you don't consider that a spoiler.

I finally caught up with her! I sat outside her house all day until she came around.
