Not quite the same.
Video games can be enjoyed by many different people. It's why changes CAN be made to the games. If the Devs CAN'T put the res changes in, then that's fine. I don't play the game if it's needed for myself. While there ARE devs who do this. I have to be picky about the games I play for this reason. Hell I'd love to play games like Call of duty, and first person shooters, but I can't. I know things like that can't be changed, nor should they because it would just make the game unplayable for everyone else, but look at a game like SinCity, for all it's flaws, they have put things in to aid other people with color issues, and eye problems to allow them to play the game too. Why is that a bad thing?
People like myself aren't asking for the game industry to change everything about a game for us, who are a small margin of game players, but we do enjoy having the benefit of devs working with people like me, so we can enjoy the games as well.
edit: Paradox strategy games are the bane of my existence as a strategy game fan. I ask them every time I can to add font scaling and they don't... so I simply opine and refuse to buy their games. I'm sure they're good but I can't play them so... I guess they lost a sale.
Sorry this game falls in that category for you, OP.
are you literally this retarded
That's good to know, I've been watching on Youtube, so the one thing I'm concerned about is the info box in the upper right corner with the time, and stamina, also this game much like Don't starve have the small boxes at the bottom. How are they with the game/
I was able to change the res on Don't starve to see the boxes WAY better, it's not perfect for me, but that's not what I'm not after. It's playable which is all I can really ask for.
Also, the game has options for windowed, borderless, and full screen which should allow for different resolutions. As a low vision guy I can confirm the text is flippin' huge. As for the buttons, memorization is key if they're too small for you. Routine and memorization is nothing new for you though since you've had eye problems your whole life.
You're being intentionally dense to dismiss her request.
This isn't a competition. it's a product. And she is a potential customer. She has every right to ask for accomedation for a product that she might end up buying if she is accomidated.
Her money is worth just as much as yours. And she's allowed to ask for mods or fixes, just like you are.
Eye conditions are many and sundry as eyes are incredibly complex things. I can't wear glasses for my condition. Some of us are stuck with what we've got. All we can do is adapt and overcome... or be sad about things we can't do.
This game is very VH-accessible though.
Glasses can't fix certain eye problems.
Secondly, you can return games on Steam for a full refund. Buy it. Try it. Fiddle with the settings. If you can't get it looking sufficient to your eyes, then simply file for a return as long as you're under 2 hours of playing time.
If your experience with the game is through youtube videos, I would warmly suggest leveraging Steam's refund option by buying it, and refunding if the "big pixels" aren't quite big enough for you. Or, possibly, you could look at screenshots of the game in your resolution, blow them up to full screen, and see whether the UI and text looks readable.
Dang it, you beat me to it!
I dont have a lens in one eye and have bad sight in the other and I can see the screen, so bo ho cry me a river, if I can see it believe me anyone can.
