Getting Chickens back in the Coop?

How do I get my chickens back into the chicken coop?

there's no way, other than closing the coop and sleeping a night. they should be back in there.

(In my own experience) They usually go back to the coop at night to sleep, and the stay inside when it rains/snows, so when they are inside just close the hatch and they wont go outside again

They go back on their own at 6 PM or so.[even if the coop is closed]

chickens will auto go back in around 5pm, wait around then close the hatch preventing from leaving at dawns light if you so wish

My friend has a fenced-in area and his chickens couldn't get back in the coop on their own because 1 of them somehow managed to get out of the fence. He couldn't figure out how to get it back in so he sold it. There really needs to be some kind of "recall" button for animals or something similar to how there was a buzzer on the barn in AWL. (Except having some kind of recall function for all animal structures instead of just the barn.)

You can just "push" them back through their small chicken door. Just push them in the direction you want them to go.

but how do you push them? you just go through them.
