'specially the kid in the basement. Like, why am I dating 15 year olds? Can I not? No..... *sigh*
My current "best" option is Abigail, someone who participates in the children only egg hunt.
o.o
I'd be okay with Maru too - I mean your mileage will vary based on your opinon of the JinAir Greenwings but still.

No it's pretty firmly still a child - 25 is about the generally accepted physical and mental age if I got that right for adulthood.
Ayup. I like Sebastian and Abigail. They're both the "youngest" but htey're also the least annoying. (Really? I'm trying to run a farm and you get both a male and a female "I am so vain and have never worked a day in my life" personalities)
While Clint kind of has a thing for Emily, it's very subtle and as far as I can tell, it never turns into anything. The only problem would be that some of the potential dialogue would have to change or it would be weird. For instance, there is a quest where Clint has you deliver a gem for Emily from him, and several points where he talks about Emily.
Well, technically they would be if you played this game for 100 ingame years.
As for your character having a birthday, I'm sure they do... it's just never brought up or acknowledged by any other characters. From the way that many of the NPCs respond to you giving them gifts (surprised you remembered/noticed, forgot it was their own birthday, etc) it makes me think that they might not be really big on celebrating them.
Many of them have jobs, are taking online college classes, etc. They may seem young to you, but they simply aren't.
Furthermore, the characters that are living alone (Leah, Elliott, and especially Harvey) are all fully adults and there really isn't anything even remotely childish about them. At least not in the context of this thread.
Eh, you could theoretically be 60 and have your grandfather die at 100. It's not ~entirely~ unheard of, plus he technically dies 20 years before the game actually starts, if i'm not mistaken, thus being 40 and having a 80 y/o grandfather die isn't all that far out there, even more believable if your char's only in the 40s-50s.
On the other side of that though, they tried really hard with alot of the characters an did some really rad things too so practise makes perfect i guess
Harvest Moon: A Wonderful Life had some good ages I thought. The wives were (with the exception of Lumina, who was bumped from 14 to 18 with the Special Edition and made marryable), IIRC, between 25-30.
I've thought the male options in this game seemed a bit young in terms of personality, and it's hit-or-miss on the girl's side. Abigail and Haley seem on the younger side, but Leah and Penny seem pretty mature.
Of course, I haven't seen all the events with most of them...
