Why are all the romantic options children?

They are young, probably 18-22 at best, so the immaturity makes sense. People don't magically become mature at 18, hell I know a lot of people in their early 30s who still act like they did in high school.

This is my only major complaint thus far with this otherwise stellar game.
It isn't even just about appearance, many of them act immature as well which is even more off-putting. Elliot and Harvey are the only male options who don't make me feel like a creep to try and pursue. The women also look young but only one looks to be in her teens and I think it helps that 3/5 at least seem mature when you speak to them.

Why not make some of the more mature single people marriageable in a later update or something? I'm not asking to rip people away from a happy marriage or anything but as far as I can tell thus far on the male side of things Clint, Gus, Willy, Marlon, Linus, and The Wizard are all single dudes and all are infinitely more appealing to me than Sam, Sebastian, and Alex.

Not saying all of them should be marriageable either but it would be nice to have at least 1, possibly 2, mature options.

I think its messed up you can't romance Linus even though he is obviously single, is that because bums are subhuman to you developer?!? JK, but I prefer almost all the adult characters to the kids, especially the mums (don't judge me). We need an option to destroy marriages <_< jk

The girls are so stereotypical it felt like it was some sort of political message, the boys are all super edgy rebel teens. Also one of them said "ick yucky" when I gave em a gold bar and nobody would go to the spring dance with me!!! Money can't buy me happiness :(

Love the rest of the game though : )

Would let Robin/Caroline/Jodi/etc break my heart and die single or marry sheep-chan. 5/7

Honestly I found a majority of the female options to actually look ridiculously old, but no one in this game was really to my liking anyway so I'm probably just gonna be single the whole game. I hope I'm not forced to get with someone.

Seriously? The only women in the entire game that could pass for over 30 are Pam and Evelyn. And Pam could claim she just aged poorly from all the drinking if she wanted to pass for under 30.

I wish there was SOME variety in age with the date-able people. It would not be insane to have some of the guys and girls be 35-45 for us older players. Even if the main character is considered younger.

This is what I've been saying! Everyone here knows Caroline isn't happy in her marriage, and even if she doesn't want a divorce... come on, who doesn't like a quick and fun fling every now and then?

Call me a bad person if you must, but the simple fact is that almost everyone cheats, so why not be the recipient of their lustful desire? People do this all the time irl, let's make it something you can do in-game.

Well dialogue is moddable...So theorectially one could at least make them speak in a more mature fashion. At least so you don't feel like you shouldn't have kids with these kids because you have a farm to run already. I haven't really even bothered making friends with most NPCs so far, much less wanted to marry any of them.
