WTF is that sound when it rains?

I heard the sound and I had nothing else to do, so I ran around trying to find the frog and I found the mofo by the river next to the mines. Then he said 'hasta la vista' and jumped into the water...

It could be frogs as some have mentioned there are frogs that exist and make similar noises.
It could be, apparently, a ghost or spirits.
It could be Krobus.
It could be the wizard.
It could be a sky whale.

Which is it?
Personally, I am not a fan of these sounds and I think knowing what's making them will allow me to lighten up to them.

I already find out about this, in my opinion (based on my personal fantasy) there is a giant snake (Basilisk) or giant lizard (known as Godzilla) or even worse like your grandfather's mummy buried in the ground. Well, it's okay if you don't trust me.

Just bought this game on the Steam sale.

I think those are "budget" sounds, probably made from a voice actor, as that "frog" like sound could be made by any human, lol.

It sounds like my stomach when I'm hungry, haha.
