Slingshot
I just got the Slingshot by reaching level 40 in the mines and it is incredibly difficult to use so I see no practicality in using it for combat, perhaps if the aiming was better (The crosshair follows your cursor for example) it would make it usable but currently I'm having a lot of trouble.

The Slingshot has one, fantastic use;

You can use it to shoot rocks at other villagers - and they react to it. Every day I lob a few rocks at Shanes head as he walks to work.

It is also fun to peg Pam in the head with the slingshot as she (I assume) drunkingly walks to the bus station.

The combat in the game is just a case of hitting, moving away and hitting. Slingshot is pretty useless and its much quicker to just carry around a dozen purple mushrooms and melee everything to death.

Or bomb your way to victory.
I've nevr used bombs in this game, are they worth crafting?
Kurzidan Mar 15, 2016 @ 7:43pm
Bombs are incredibly worth crafting. (or buying) they're insanely useful, between helping to clear any remaining debris from your farm, to clearing out large areas quickly in the mines.

The Slingshot is mostly best when you've got explosive ammo, for the same reason, as by some chances, you can blow your foot off with bombs going off with you in range.

The way the Slingshot and Master Slingshot work, is how one would expect a slingshot to function IRL.

You Pull the sling back, once its tight and drawn, You can release it and *WHIFF* There goes a shot. (You can pull them back hard and rapidly proceed through the stages, essentially immediately launching a shot multiple times in a row)

Slingshot is the best item in the game. Nobody understands. I should post a video of how op it is

I'm sure the slingshot is great, it's just the controls aren't so great

Yes, the controls are dreadful!

Benzino, I hope you will post a video -- I haven't found a way to fire off shots quickly enough to ditch my melee weapon. I'd like to see your technique.

Can confirm she has no issue driving the bus drunk, she totally chugged the Pale Ale I delivered for a quest then proceeded to drive me to the desert.

You can also press and hold C then aim and pull back with your mouse then let go of C.

I've always been a sword person in all games, so even after trying to use the slingshot once I was like "nope". Also it uses up stone as far as I remember, so it's just a waste of resources in my opinion.

At first the slingshot can seem a bit tough to use but just aim the opposite direction you want to shoot. It's sort of like inverting X and Y axis on a controller, up is down and left is right. After saying that, I don't really see much use for it besides shooting townfolk so far.... Oh, and that homeless guy's tent! Hehe
