Whats the point of shop hours when shopkeepers arent in shop always?
A few times now, a person isnt in their shop during their OPEN hours! Is this a known issue or no? Shopkeepers shouldnt be roaming around when I want to buy something, period.

its in there for immersion and realism

Example? I can only think of one, and it isn't Marnie or Robin.

Just because the door is unlocked doesn't mean the shop is open—especially if the shopkeeper lives in the same building. Marnie, Robin, and Pierre all have "house hours" that include more time than "store hours".

Clint is the only offender I'm aware of, because he wanders off on Fridays to go hang out in the Community Center.

Now I'm annoyed that I didn't notice that.

Agreed. But I don't think "realism" has anything to do with it, IMHO. Lets say we live in a small town like this. NO store owner is going to leave their door unlocked when they are not there ... OR, they do and expect the people of their town to leave money for whatever they took. We don't have the option to buy when the store owner isn't there, so that doesn't seem very realistic to me. :)
Harvey is hardly ever in the clinic. It took me forever to find him around the town. Now what kind of doctor is that?

Either the good kind of doctor that takes the time to does house calls for sick people ooorrr... a creepy guy who only feels like working when Maru is around and he can try to impress her...

I hate Marnie for this very reason. Two week days off running? Really? The amount of times I've built a build or extension only for completion to fall on a Monday is untrue--and then have to wait days to buy the animals I've unlocked.

If she had a competator I'd surely go with them instead. :D

Then you need to plan better, which is part of the game. They have lives too, and it not to cater to the player 24/7.

If a shop has certain hours it is OPEN, the person should be there.. period. It's stupid and misleading to list shop hours and the person isnt there.

Also I never once said a shop needs to be open 24/7. So get off your high horse and stop making lame assumptions.
