Report a translation problem
In game, if you modified selected gender symbol, you chose Female on right, Male on left.
You apparently spent more time chatting up males not females, regardless of toon gender. Same-sex couples adopt, opposite-sex make their own. You will find out sometime later. :P
I'm pretty sure there's dialogue SOMEWHERE in the game where you'll be referred to using gender pronouns, so that'll tip you off. Also the developer has said there are some small differences in dialogue with certain marriage candidates depending on if you're male or female. But aside from that, no, there shouldn't be any differences.
That's true. Also, I think the little shrine on the top left corner of the farm map also refers to you as either grandson or granddaughter.
