Randomly around the map. I know I found one near the bus once.

wow, i guess i was very unlucky, only found leek on the first two or three days, after that not even one. So i couldn't complete the spring forage challange. On summer i found all of them very easily. But thanks anyway, i thought they had a spot like spring onions have.
It is randomized. I am going to point out my discovery and I had the same issue. Reason appears to be...

Rain....

While there is a chance of something being more favored, I only had rain in my first week of spring, then none. No rain seems to be no foraging goodness appears. I haven't found ANY dandilions aside from two during the initial couple days. Where do they spawn? Bus stop and road north of your home is a good place.... when they do spawn....

There's a patch of them if you go to the woods south of your house. Bottom right area of the zone, across the bridges. Pretty sure those were leeks, anyway.

Those are "Spring Onions"

Side note, those make good gifts for leah. I am holding them though in case of recipes. They don't sell for much.
