Stuck in summer festival

So I've been playing until the first summer festival in the game and reached the point where I've talked to everyone and added a hot pepper to the stew in the center of the festivities. I can not leave the festival and I've clicked on every object and person.

How do I progress from here on and finish the festival?

Pretty insignificant spoiler but maybe some may think otherwise: Lewis *should* have asked you if everyone was ready to start the egg hunt.

I quit the game and booted it again, went directly to Lewis, dumped some in the stew and went back to him.. Apparently some sort of bug?
Everything worked on second try oddly enough.
