Can't finish 'Introductions' quest

The journal keeps telling me I've greeted 25/28 people, it doesn't appear to be updating after greeting new people.

Are you meeting them in general or are you meeting them at events and such? If you try to introduce yourself to someone during for example the egg festival or the spring dance the game will not register it as an actual introduction.

I'm missing 6 people, and it sucks, it seems that I've gone everywhere. Doesn't help that they move around. Wish there was some way to see who I don't have or the general direction or something.

It says you've not even been playing for an hour, for me it took a couple of hours to introduce myself to everyone xD you will have more luck going to the tavern in the evenings, and if you open your map and look at the buildings you can see who lives in them, wait outside or in their houses in the mornings or nights and you will catch them entering or leaving.

Bear in mind if you talk to shop keepers over the counter, it doesn't count. You'll want to walk around and talk to them face to face.

I know, I go behind the counter. I really tried taling to everyone. The counter doesn't go up.

Look in your social tab in your menu. Anyone with a ??? instead of a name has not been greeted.

The wizard does not count towards the introductions quest.

i missed one of the older people, there are 2 of them, and also the adventure guild guy, as well as the guy who lives in the tent. But i got all 28 completed, you just need to look for them :)

Adventure Guild Guy (Gil) does not count towards introductions quest.

I have 27/28 people greeted and the only person missing is a strange man with a long purple/black hat, in short, a wizard. And I can't finish the quest. So for me he DOES count.

No, that is not part of the introduction quest.

You are missing 1. There are 29 on the social tab. Which guy/gal are you missing?

The emo kid is the only one i am missing, apparently you can find him at the bar after 5pm on fridays

he shows up in the bar sometimes..or near the fishing docks. When not secluded in his room. I'm actually still missing a female character....so I'm just going to wait for a festival. Try talking to people more than once as well..they generally all have more than one chat bubble.
