I believe the only difference is the bait slot. Upgrading your fishing skill is the way to get better results when fishing.

Bait slot and range is improved. Some fish can only be caught away from the shore.

However, leveling your fishing is going to have a more obvious effect/make fishing easier.

I am not sure on how to use a tackle, I found a Spinner and I bought a Fiberglass Rod but I don't know how to attach it to the rod :O

Be careful about the fiberglass rod, gamebreaking bug if you use it away from water you can get stuck. :'(

the catching area increases with every rod ( bamboo -> iridium like 25%?) making it even without baits or tackle easier to catch fish (with tackle its even easier ofc)

The catching bar is slightly bigger than the bamboo rod, you get to use bait, and you can cast a bit farther than with the bamboo rod and thus get the fish that dwell farther from shore. You must wait for the Iridium (best) rod to use tackle, but that requires fishing level 6 (fiberglass is 2) and it's a bit (or a lot, opinion) easier to get to 6 with the fiberglass rod than the bamboo one.

The fishing bug occurs when you accidentally cast on land and immediately click LMB again before the cast is done. If you wait for the cast to finish, then hit LMB, you should not get the bug.
