Moving faster?

So is there a way to move faster in this game? I just started playing it and I feel as if my character is moving as a snail's pace. I've tried finding the explanation of the controls again, but couldn't locate it. So then I proceeded to try a bunch of different keys, and nothing seems to make the character walk any faster. Just wondering. Thanks!

Hold SHIFT key to run. Or go into option and turn on auto run.

You can run by holding down the shift key, but there's also an in-game option to toggle auto-run.

Horse, coffee and some other foods.

Can get coffee which increases speed, also the stable built includes a horse which is faster and there are methods of fast travelling like minecarts between 3 points (have to be unlocked).

I cannot believe that people had to tell someone to use SHIFT to run. Shift is like the global key in any game ... to run.

The first thing i would have done in the game would have been to test shift to see if it makes you run.

Work towords getting the horse, you will get around alot quicker.

I'm more of a console gamer than a PC gamer...so not everyone knows the magic of the SHIFT key in games.
